We are often asked, "Where can I see ISE machines before I buy one?" and the answer is slightly more complex than you might expect.

Traditional retailers with retail premises generally do not wish to trade with ISE. In fact, many comments have been made about retailers actively trying to sway people seeking our appliances onto other makes.

The reasons why this happens are actually very simple.

Customer Care

A number of retailers just want to sell the product, collect the profit and after that, it's someone else's problem if anything goes wrong or isn't right. We don't agree with that stance.

We much prefer dealing with partners that care and wish to look after their customers.

Longer Lifespan

When we say to a retailer, "Our machines last ten times longer" many think that equates to selling less! It means that you won't be back buying another machine anytime soon and, retailers that rely solely on selling products and warranties aren't falling cover themselves to help us reduce the volume of machines they sell.

For retailers that only sell products, longer lifespan appliances are almost abhorrent.

Lower Profit Margins

Our appliances do not follow the typical retail markup structures, we don't use percentages to mark up any products at all.

This means that in a great many cases we cannot meet the retailer's typical margin expectations meaning that they earn less selling ISE as opposed to other brands.

It does mean the customer gets more for their money though and some retailers, especially those that both sell and service appliances and want to offer their customers the best all round package will often favour ISE over others. But, sadly, that isn't always the case and some retailers just won't sell or stock ISE appliances due to this alone.

Long Warranties

We offer a ten year warranty. We can do this as we are massively confident in the quality of our appliances, we know that to wear one out in that short a period is highly unlikely.

Retailers boost their profitability hugely through the sale of extended warranties, we have all experienced the hard sell in a store where it seems almost impossible to get out of the shop without buying a warranty.

Because we offer a long warranty the typical retailer has the ability to sell an additional warranty removed completely. They can't make money on that either and, along with the lower profit margins and lower sales volumes it all makes us hugely unpopular with typical traditional retailers.

In all honesty, there's not much that we can do about the situation given our ethos.

All these factors make it really difficult, if not impossible, for ISE to be seen in typical electrical retailer's showrooms, especially national chain retailers.

There are a growing number of seller service retailers and local retailers that do care about their customers and do want to offer their customers the best solution for them, even if that isn't always ISE. But there are a limited number that have showroom or display facilities as they tend to be very specialist retailers or service specialists.

We hope that you can understand how that this can make it difficult to see our appliances in showrooms and, why.
